01 Been there, done that?
Having sex is a very intimate experience for both partners. Uninterrupted sexy time in the sheets can make a sea of a difference, release endorphins and make you feel relaxed. But, it can also be hampered by some not-so-pleasant farting moments, in particular.
Yes, you have probably experienced it or dread it. Farting during sex is in fact, however, very normal. Sure, it might embarrass you (or humiliate you) and make you crawl back under the sheets, but there are ways you can prevent it.
02 It is nothing to be embarrassed about!
Feeling gassy or farting is a common bodily function (there is nothing to be ashamed about) and it can absolutely happen to you right in the middle of deep sleep or INTERCOURSE. Farts can also happen when there’s heavy tension in your muscles. Precisely, when the muscles around your private parts experience heavy pressure, this alone can trigger a fart.
03 The science behind it
During sex, when you thrust the organs, this increases the pressure around your pelvis and pushes out air, resulting in questionable farts. It can also happen when you swallow excess air or face problems in digestion. Because the digestion process doesn’t really stop when you have sex. Hence, it gets unpleasant and you release gas.
Vaginal farts (or queefing) is another thing which can occur when the air trapped around the vagina gets pushed out.
04 How to prevent it?
While farting is something inescapable, there are some things you can do to prevent something bad like this from happening to you when you have sex. But, the one thing you actually should remember is that if you face some indigestion or gas problems before having sex, chances are quite high that you will experience something queefy during sex.
05 Be prepared:
However, if you eat right and “prepare” beforehand, there are ways you can avoid awkward moments in the bedroom. Try to avoid any food items which can make you bloated or gassy such as dairy or veggies that have the tendency to release excess gas in the body.
Also, if you are pregnant, there is no way you can avoid the farts from hampering your sexy time. Farts increase due to the many hormonal changes which come along pregnancy and the way your muscles start to relax around your pelvis so there is no way to avoid this.
